What is McTimoney?
McTimoney is a gentle, non-invasive, whole body treatment that helps to realign and balance the musculoskeletal system.
Every joint in the body has a natural range of movement which enables the animal to move normally. Sometimes joints can get ‘stuck’ within this range of motion creating dysfunction. Horses and dogs have a very advanced compensatory mechanism; when dysfunction occurs, they need to keep moving.
Alana Macartney
Alana Macartney is a fully qualified and insured McTimoney Animal Chiropractor and uses soft tissue techniques including massage, mobilisation and deep oscillation therapy. Alana has been involved with horses since childhood and has owned and cared for horses for much of this time. Alana currently owns a young Irish Sports Horse called Ember who she plans to event. Alana also has two small terriers who often accompany her on yard visits and are firm favourites with her regular customers. Alana has a natural affinity for animals and takes great pleasure from working with owners to ensure every animal is comfortable and able to perform at their very best .
